Hull College’s first Student CPD Week of the 2023/24 academic year will commence on Monday 13th November.

CPD means Continuous Professional Development and our dedicated weeks are designed to support your personal and professional development, along with playing a part in ensuring you are ready for employment and the world of work once you have finished your studies.

The college has arranged a diverse programme of external partners and industry leaders throughout the week to share their expertise and knowledge across the four key themes of Sustainability, Leadership, Mental Health and Wellbeing and Digital.

Keynote speakers from the following companies will be involved: KCOM, Edenic Group, Humberside Police, Hobson & Porter, Humber Outreach Programme (HOP), Microsoft, Bluestorm and Rollits.

Also included as part of Student CPD Week is a Student Support and Wellbeing Fayre. This event will take on Thursday 16th November, and will see the college joined by a wide range of organisations focused on providing you with hints, tips and advice on how to help you be the best version of yourself.

No booking is necessary to attend this event, simply head to ‘Hullywood Gardens’ in the Tower Block between 10am-2pm. Whether you're new to the college and just finding your way or a seasoned student looking to enhance your skills, knowledge and understanding, our stalls will have something for everyone.

And wait - there’s more! Why not join us on a journey towards improved physical and mental well-being by participating in ‘The Hull College Mile’. This short and sweet walk is the perfect way to break free from the daily grind, stretch your legs and clear your mind – there’s even a competition for all mile walkers to enter!

Full details of all scheduled events can be viewed in our Student CPD Week booklet, which has been emailed to all students.

Please note that your regular weekly timetable will continue as usual during Student CPD Week. However, your tutors, trainers and assessors will support you to access any sessions you wish to attend.
