The inaugural Hull College Future Stars Apprenticeship Awards Ceremony will take place on Thursday 9th February.

Staged as part of National Apprentice Week 2023, the evening will recognise the outstanding achievements of apprentices and employers within their organisation and wider community.

Approximately 100 guests will join the college at the historic Jubilee Central building in the city centre for an evening of celebration.

The Apprenticeship Awards have been judged in eight different categories. These include: Apprenticeship Employer of the Year, Apprentice of the Year, Construction Apprentice of the Year, Engineering Apprentice of the Year, Digital and Creative Apprentice of the Year, Health Apprentice of the Year, Early Years and Teaching Apprentice of the Year, and Business and Professional Apprentice of the Year.

Speaking ahead of the event, Chris Baker, Executive Director of Apprenticeships at Hull College, said: “Apprenticeships are a huge part of Hull College’s technical and professional provision, allowing people to develop their career, while working towards a nationally-recognised qualification.

“Our Future Stars Apprenticeship Awards will give us the perfect opportunity to recognise the outstanding achievements of the apprentices we train and employers we work with, along with highlighting the value of apprenticeships to businesses and the wider community.”

National Apprenticeship Week 2023

National Apprenticeship Week takes place from Monday 6th February - Sunday 12th February.

This annual celebration of apprenticeships brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.

The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2023 is ‘Skills for Life’. The week will reflect on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career and help businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with skills for the future.
