Good nutrition plays a vital role in overall health, wellbeing, and quality of life. This fully online course introduces key principles of nutrition and health, helping learners understand how diet affects the body and mind at every stage of life. You will learn what healthy eating looks like and how nutritional needs can vary between individuals. You’ll gain insight into planning balanced diets using food and nutrition information, alongside understanding the importance of safe food preparation in a home environment. The course also considers weight management and the factors that influence it, helping learners build awareness of healthy, sustainable approaches. In addition, you’ll explore nutrition in the context of eating disorders, developing an understanding of how diet and wellbeing are closely linked and why sensitivity and awareness are important. Learning is delivered entirely online, allowing you to study flexibly from anywhere and at a pace that suits your lifestyle. Course materials are clear and accessible, making the programme suitable for individuals looking to improve personal knowledge as well as employers seeking to support staff development. By completing this course, you’ll gain practical knowledge and confidence around nutrition and health, supporting informed choices for yourself and others and providing a strong foundation for further learning.

It is important to note that when you enrol on an Access to HE courseyou can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to help with the costs of a course at a college or training provider in England.

Loan eligibility does not depend on your income and there are no credit checks.

Check if you’re eligible before you apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

Your loan will be written off if you then sign up for a Higher Education course AND you have completed in full the Access to HE course.
