Warehousing plays a vital role in supply chains and day-to-day business operations, making safety, organisation, and efficiency essential. This fully online course introduces key warehousing principles, including safe manual handling, stock management, and preparing goods for dispatch in workplace environments. Ideal for those new to warehousing environments, the course explores how manual handling risks arise, how injuries can be prevented, and why following correct health and safety procedures is vital in busy workplaces. You’ll gain an understanding of your responsibilities when lifting, carrying, and moving goods, helping to reduce the risk of injury to yourself and others . In addition to manual handling, the course introduces core warehousing operations, including storing goods, stock checking, processing orders, and preparing items for dispatch. You’ll also look at the role of customer service within warehousing and logistics, exploring how efficient processes and good communication can positively impact an organisation. The course content is clear and accessible, making it suitable whether you’re looking to build new skills, refresh existing knowledge, or improve your understanding of workplace safety. On completion, you’ll have gained valuable insight into safe working practices and operational processes that support employability across warehousing, logistics, retail, and related sectors.

It is important to note that when you enrol on an Access to HE courseyou can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to help with the costs of a course at a college or training provider in England.

Loan eligibility does not depend on your income and there are no credit checks.

Check if you’re eligible before you apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

Your loan will be written off if you then sign up for a Higher Education course AND you have completed in full the Access to HE course.
