An opportunity to meet the careers team and speak about any careers related topics or get help with interview techniques or CV building.

Application and CV Writing

Working alongside the college process the students will receive further support from HOP to produce a strong and worthy application for their chosen path.

Research Skills

Students will learn and put into practice research skills to collate and understand information from education and industry as to their chosen pathway.

University Trip

An opportunity to visit a university to understand what HE is all about.

Interpersonal Skills

Students will be introduced to the personal attributes that will help them succeed in their chosen pathway. They will discuss barriers to success, overcoming adversity and breaking stereotypes.

Transition to HE

Students will take part in workshops and talks to envisage the HE journey and lifestyle. You will research different institutions and course options in HE and be able to contrast and compare between them.

HE Student Finance Session

Drop in to discuss all aspects of finance for HE.

Alternative Pathways to HE

Students will be introduced to degree apprenticeships and higher education pathways including degrees with work experience.

Axe Throwing

Game of Throwing is an exciting new experience in the axe throwing world.

CPD & Work Experience

Students will assess the balance between work and study and the potential necessity or wish to extend that into HE.

They will research and act upon continual professional development to upskill, research and prepare for future study.

Bowling

An opportunity to meet some new people and have a great day out at Superbowl bowling.

HOP Sessions

Drop-in sessions to support personal statements and UCAS applications.

Social Media

Students will understand digital footprints and the pitfalls of unprofessional social media allied to the benefits of positive and proactive social media networking and publicity.
