This course is designed for you if you want a fast, practical route into work within the cleaning and facilities sector. Cleaning roles are always in demand and offer opportunities across a wide range of environments, including offices, schools, hospitals, commercial buildings, and domestic settings. This short, face-to-face programme focuses on building job-ready skills and confidence, helping you understand what employers expect and how to work safely and professionally. On successful completion, you are guaranteed a job interview with a local employer, giving you a real opportunity to move directly into employment. Throughout the course, you’ll gain hands-on experience in professional cleaning techniques and learn how to maintain hygienic, safe working environments. A strong focus is placed on health and safety, including infection control, COSHH awareness, and safe working practices, which are essential for cleaning roles across all sectors. You’ll also explore customer service and communication skills, understanding how professionalism, reliability, and teamwork contribute to success in the workplace. Alongside sector training, the course includes employability support to help you prepare for job applications, interviews, and workplace expectations. The programme includes nationally recognised qualifications that strengthen your CV and demonstrate your readiness for work. These qualifications support progression into a range of cleaning roles and provide a solid foundation for longer-term employment. Training is delivered in a supportive environment by experienced tutors, making the course suitable for learners with little or no previous experience in cleaning. By the end of the programme, you’ll feel confident, prepared, and ready to take advantage of your guaranteed interview and begin a career in the cleaning and facilities sector. Entry Requirements Must be unemployed or a jobseeker claiming either Universal Credit, Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).
