Huge congratulations to our level 3 Fine Art students who hosted an extremely successful opening night of their ‘The Enchanted Forest’ exhibition on Thursday evening.

Students, parents, staff and members of the public joined Principal & CEO Debs Gray at the Prospect Gallery to view a range of artwork, including a spectacular 18 foot mixed media drawing.

The entire group of first-year students have worked together as an 'artists collective' to produce the exhibition as a work experience project, which has seen them organise elements of the display outside of their scheduled timetabled hours - even raising £300 throughout sponsorship events to help with funding.

Reflecting on the event, course tutor Chris Wiles said: "First and foremost, huge congratulations to everyone involved in the exhibition - it was a fantastic opening night and a real team effort to get everything ready for the guests who attended.

"The college prides itself on preparing its students for the world of work and this exhibition has given our group that all-important real life experience of everything that's involved with being a jobbing artist."

Visitors to the gallery will not only get to see the work of our Fine Art students as our level 3 Art & Design Foundation Diploma students are also showcasing their artistic talents in 'The Reflection'.

Don’t worry if you couldn’t make it to the opening night as both exhibitions will remain open until Thursday 19th May (Tuesday - Friday 11am - 4pm).
