Hull College is gearing up to deliver new technical vocational qualifications for school leavers looking to pursue a career in early years education or digital support services.

Starting from September 2023, we will be offering T Levels to help its students gain the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the workplace. Whether you have a passion for nurturing young minds or an interest in the ever-evolving digital world, these new courses are designed to equip you with the essential expertise to excel in your chosen career path.

What are T Levels?

T Levels are the two-year technical vocational qualifications introduced by the government to meet the demands of various industries that require a highly skilled and practical workforce. Available to school leavers after they have completed their GCSEs, T Levels offer an exciting alternative to A Levels, other post-16 courses or an apprenticeship.

With T Levels, 80% of the course is in the classroom, learning the skills that employers need. The other 20% is a meaningful industry placement, where you’ll have the valuable opportunity to put these skills into practice with at least 315 hours of industry placements (approximately 45 days) over the course of two-years.

Developed in collaboration with employers and businesses, T Levels provide a comprehensive curriculum that prepares you for entry into skilled employment. Furthermore, these qualifications are equivalent to three A Levels, opening doors to higher education opportunities. In fact, the number of T Level students applying for degree-level study through UCAS has tripled this year, with over 1,700 students taking this exciting step.
