The National Skills Fund was set up by the Government as part of the UK’s Plan for Jobs. It aims to help adults to train and gain the valuable skills set they need to improve their job prospects and support the economy. The scheme has been introduced to encourage adults in England to retrain, gain new skills to make them more employable.

If you are 19 or over and do not already have a level 3 qualification or higher, you can access a free level 3 qualification. If you already have a level 3 qualification or higher, but you earn below the National Living Wage annually (£18,525 from April 2022) or are unemployed, you can also access these qualifications for free. This is regardless of any qualifications you already have.

Eligibility criteria for a FREE place includes students living in the UK as residents for the past three years or having the right to work and study in the UK.
