Staff at Hull College are celebrating after securing the prestigious title of Apprenticeship Provider of the Year (Training Partner) at the inaugural 2023 AIM Empowering Futures Awards.

The College received the accolade for ‘its commitment to their creative apprentices, and their dedication of to ensuring their apprentices completed during particularly challenging times’.

Christian Smith (Head of Apprenticeships), Michelle Nichols (Assistant Head of Apprenticeships) and Andy Sanders (Skills Coach) were presented with the trophy at a special event held at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham, which highlighted excellence, innovation, and commitment to learners' success.

Reflecting on the award win Nicola Clarke, Executive Director of Apprenticeships at Hull College, said: “We are thrilled that Hull College was recognised as the best Apprenticeship Training Provider of the Year at the AIM Empowering Futures Awards. It reflects the unwavering commitment of the entire Apprenticeships team at the college to provide high-quality apprenticeship training and support. Apprenticeships are a hugely important training pathway for many industries and we will continue to help more young professionals on their way to achieving rewarding and long-lasting careers.”
