We were delighted to welcome Abi Bell from HEY! Volunteering to Hull College this week to speak to our Performing Arts, Production Arts, Dance, Music, Media, Art & Design and Travel & Tourism students.

Volunteer Programme Manager Abi explained more about the exciting volunteering/work experience opportunities available in the city through HEY! Volunteering and the benefits of doing so by joining Hull’s big blue family.

“It was fantastic to come in and speak directly to students at the college,” she said after the event.

“Volunteering opens up a lot of new and exciting opportunities, and will give students at the college access to events and organisations that they probably wouldn’t have access to.

“It will provide them with the chance to network, gain valuable insights and make connections with people and businesses that might help them in their future careers. It’s also a good way to support the city of Hull and - on top of that - it’s great fun as well!”

Volunteering is a great way of giving back to your local community. At the same time, it also provides fantastic opportunities to gain new skills, knowledge, experience, and connections, which could enhance your existing career or help shape a completely new one.

What HEY! Volunteering do!

HEY! Volunteer provide volunteers with high quality opportunities to support the city and region they love. They support organisations, venues, and projects mainly in arts, culture, heritage across Hull and East Yorkshire with skilled and experienced trained volunteers. They improve access and bridge the gap between arts, culture and heritage and hard to reach communities in our region.
