MacmillanWorld’s Biggest Coffee MorningThe annual Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning will return to Hull College on Friday 30th September.

The charity event, which is being staged in the nose cone of the Horncastle Building from 10:30am – 12:30pm, will once again see our Early Years students selling a variety of homemade cakes, scones, buns and biscuits to help raise vital funds to support for people living with cancer.

Nail Enhancement and Advance Nail Enhancement students at the college will also be getting involved in the fundraising efforts by offering nail art, nail painting and glitter tattoos for just £1 per treatment (along with selling cakes as well, of course). And what’s more, free tea and coffee will also be on offer to staff and students on the day!

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event each year. The first-ever Coffee Morning happened way back in 1990. It was a rather small affair with a simple idea: guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process.

However, it was so successful that they did it again the following year - only this time nationally. Since then, Coffee Morning has raised over £290 million for Macmillan, with more than £11 million raised across the UK in 2021.
