This course provides with an opportunity to build skills within the computing and digital sector. This is a skills-based qualification designed to help learners develop the personal and social skills needed to help them to progress to independent living, future employment or further vocational study.

Being Organised Digitally

Learn how to organise your digital life using OneDrive, Outlook Email, Outlook Calendar, Google Maps and other digital technologies.

Planning Your Next Steps

Explore future options, identify your strengths and build a personalised progression plan.

Creating a Website or Blog

Design and publish a simple website or blog using digital tools, learning to present information clearly.

Storyboarding for Digital Media

Create visual storyboards to plan digital media projects and develop creative sequencing skills.

Recording Income & Spending digitally.

Learn about money, use Excel spreadsheets to manage basic finances, record income, track spending and use simple formulas. Let it do the maths for you next game buy.

GCSE English & Maths Included

Every learner studies GCSE English and GCSE Maths, if needed, as a core part of the course. These subjects are built into your timetable to support progression to Level 2 pathways, apprenticeships and employment.

Course Structure

A one year course to ease your way into college for school leavers, gain digital and IT life skills.

You will have a mix of the main course (5 modules), English and Maths GCSE and additional studies to introduce you to a wider IT and Computing experience
