Our Beauty Therapy students were proud to take part in Hull & East Riding Breast Friends’ annual Pink Pamper Day last weekend, supporting a truly inspiring community event dedicated to women affected by breast cancer.
Working alongside tutors Claire and Roxie, 14 students helped deliver more than 110 treatments throughout the day, offering a range of professional pampering services including manicures, pedicures, facials, back massages and Indian head massages.
The event brought together women who have survived breast cancer or are currently undergoing treatment, creating a warm, welcoming and uplifting environment focused on relaxation, self-care and connection.
For our students, the experience provided a powerful opportunity to put their skills into practice in a real-world setting, while contributing to something with genuine meaning and impact. Throughout the day, they demonstrated professionalism, empathy and care, helping to ensure every guest felt valued and supported.
Staff and students from East Riding College also joined the event, working collaboratively to help deliver a memorable and positive experience for everyone involved.
The atmosphere throughout the day was filled with positivity, laughter and reflection, with students playing an important role in creating moments of comfort for such an extraordinary group of women.
By taking part in events like Pink Pamper Day, our learners not only continue to develop their technical skills but also gain confidence, communication skills and a deeper understanding of the importance of care within the beauty industry.
Most importantly, they represented the college brilliantly, showing compassion, professionalism and pride in everything they delivered.
