The Institute of Building Technologies offers study programmes - from level 1 to level 6 - to prepare for careers in a wide range of trades including brickwork, plumbing, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating, plastering, professional construction and civil engineering. We also offer apprenticeships for young people and adults wanting to seek employment as bricklayers, groundworkers, carpenters, joiners, painters and decorators, plasterers, plumbers and domestic heating engineers - which allow you to gain a recognised qualification whilst earning a wage.

Facilities

Hull College offers outstanding specialist facilities for use by students studying all courses.

Whatever you are interested in studying, our workshops provide the perfect backdrop for you to prepare for and build your career. Each construction trade has its own workshop, where you will learn the skills relating to your chosen area. These facilities are industry-standard and what you’ll find out in the world of work and employment. This helps as when you undertake work experience or start your career, you’ll be comfortable in your environment straight away.
