Course Overview
This apprenticeship prepares you to become a Craft Bricklayer, specialising in complex and decorative masonry work within the construction industry.
You’ll develop advanced skills in setting out and constructing detailed brick and blockwork, including chimneys, radial walls and decorative features. Craft Bricklayers take greater responsibility on site, planning and organising work while ensuring projects meet specifications, deadlines and safety standards.
As a technical expert within your team, you’ll provide guidance and support to others while liaising with site management and other trades. By the end of the programme, you’ll be confident delivering high-quality masonry in challenging environments.

Course Breakdown
Course Structure
You will spend one day per week at Hull College, developing advanced technical knowledge and practical masonry skills.
The remaining four days per week will be spent with your employer, applying your expertise on live construction projects.

On completion, you can progress into continued employment with your current employer or further opportunities within the construction industry in masonry roles.
