Are you ready to embark on an exhilarating journey into one of the fastest growing and most thrilling industries, not only in the UK but across the globe? Look no further than our brand-new Esports courses, designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to excel in the dynamic world of competitive gaming and so much more!

What is Esports?

Esports refers specifically to organised and competitive video gaming, often at a professional or semi-professional level, where players compete individually or in teams against other players, often at events with both live and online audiences. There are various leagues and tournaments, in the same manner as traditional sports, with the aim of finding the top player or team in a category.

Esports has taken the world by storm over the last couple of years, captivating hundreds of millions of players, competitors, and spectators globally, and is the 2nd fastest growing entertainment and media sector here in the UK. There were over 540 million Esports viewers worldwide as of 2023 and it is predicted that this number will reach 640.8 million in 2025.

Did You Know…

  • According to online gaming research by Ofcom, 60% of UK adults aged 16+ stated that they played games on some form of console, desktop or smartphone device (either online or offline).
  • The global Esports market was valued at £1.1 billion in 2022 - and is expected to grow to £4.34 billion by the year 2029.
  • Research completed by UK Safer Internet Centre discovered that 65% of 8-17-year-olds found online gaming an important part of their lives.

Now, it's your chance to be part of this thrilling community and turn your passion for gaming into an exciting and rewarding career. While many dream of becoming professional players, the world of Esports isn’t just about playing games and offers an array of incredible career paths beyond the gaming chair. If the games themselves are your passion, you can explore the avenues of coaching, guiding and shaping the next generation of Esports stars or shoutcasting (commentating on Esports matches).

Alternatively, you can unleash your creativity in marketing, social media and content creation, or focus on other related sectors such as enterprise and entrepreneurship, strategy and analysis, events management, live-stream broadcasting, video production, health and wellbeing, the law and legislation, computer networking, and so much more!

Whether you're driven by the desire to compete, the thrill of strategy, the world of marketing and social media or the power of collaboration, these Level 2 (one-year) and Level 3 (two-year) courses will empower you to pursue your passion while opening doors to a realm of endless possibilities.
