Last week saw our Level 1 and 2 Hairdressing groups at the college treated to an informative and inspirational session by guest speaker, Liz Skipsey.

A former Hull College student and member of staff, Liz saw her association with us come to an end when she opted to start her own salon and now owns No. 4 Packman Lane in Kirkella.

Liz generously shared her impressive wealth of knowledge with the groups, as well as sharing her expectations - from an employer’s perspective - for those wanting to enter the hairdressing industry.

In addition, she also discussed the importance of retail skills, up selling, self-motivation and self-reflection with students and used social media to demonstrate her own development and career journey.

Everyone at the college would like to take the opportunity to thank Liz for giving up her time to speak our Hairdressing students and for what was an excellent session for all involved.
