Criminology is the scientific study of crime and criminals, including the motivations and consequences of crime and its perpetrators, as well as preventative measures. An exciting subject that combines aspects of sociology, psychology and law, it will allow you to understand crime and deviance in detail. You will focus on what drives people to commit crimes, along with the impact criminal behaviour has on societies and exploring how it can be explained.  

By the completion of your course, you will have gained an in-depth knowledge of how the criminal justice system works, from the moment a crime has been discovered, right up until a verdict is reached in court.

With relevant links to industry, our courses focus on helping you develop applied skills that are both specific and highly transferable, ensuring you will be equipped with the professional skills, competencies and knowledge needed to begin a wide range of exciting and rewarding roles and careers in the workplace or make the step up to higher education and degree-level study in a variety of areas such as Criminology, Criminal Justice, Psychology and Forensic Science.
