Skills Support for the Unemployed

Skills Support for the Unemployed offers a flexible programme of employability and skills training, which is tailored to your needs. It has been specifically designed for people who are out of work to help you meet and overcome the challenges you may face when looking for employment or an apprenticeship.

Whether you’re unemployed or a registered job seeker, our fully-funded courses in the Humber and Greater Lincolnshire can provide you with the skills and knowledge to stand out from the crowd and progress into employment.

If you need help or assistance with CV writing, interview preparation, interview skills and techniques or English and maths support, then Skills Support for the Unemployed is for you.

Eligibility

You are eligible to receive funded support from the Skills Support for the Unemployed programme if you are 19 years of age or older, living in the Humber (Hull, East Riding, North Lincolnshire or North East Lincolnshire) and are unemployed. Volunteers may also eligible for Skills Support for the Unemployed.

Please note we will complete eligibility checks on all individuals who are accessing the programme.

We work in partnership with the Humber and Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnerships to deliver Skills Support for the Workforce.

We provide industry-relevant skills training in sectors such as Manufacturing, Agri-Food, Visitor Economy, Low Carbon, Health & Care, Ports & Logistics, working alongside 20 partners based at colleges and training centres across both regions.
