Safe and Sound Week

31.1.22

5:10 pm

Students and staff at Hull College engaged in #SafeandSound week between Monday 31st January - Sunday 6th February, which provided a great opportunity for our college community to focus on key aspects of safeguarding.

Throughout the week, we aimed to ensure that our students understand and are fully aware of the risks and how and where to get help and support should they need it on this matter, along with other vital safeguarding topics.

We organised a number of exciting and informative central events and activities to support this week for students and staff, which included:

Motivational Speech by Paul Hannaford - Paul regularly speaks to young adults across the country about the high risks and dangers associated with addiction and crime that fill our cities and towns all over the country and how to make positive choices. Paul has spoken to hundreds of thousands of young adults across the country since he began his work in 2009.

Humberside police safety workshops and drop-in clinics

Internet safety and security activities organised by our IT team

Everyone at the college recognises that we have a legal and moral duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of our students. We want all students who study with us to have an enjoyable, rewarding, fun, and safe experience during their time at college.
