"Everything I'm learning on my Health & Social Care course is helping me to prepare for my career by teaching me the skills and knowledge I need to work in the industry. There is a lot of coursework involved but it is all worthwhile because, ultimately, we are being taught and prepared for the real world."

Facilities

Hull College offers outstanding specialist facilities for use by students studying all courses.

Health & Social Care students at the college receive hands-on training in   our fully-equipped real-life clinical room. Skills are learnt in a safe and efficient manner in a simulated learning environment where students can practice basic nursing skills. The clinical room has proved to be a great success, with every level group provided with the opportunity to learn and develop the vital skills needed to secure employment and embark on a career in the sector.

If you are interested in a career in the fascinating world of science, we have three dedicated laboratories - based on the 7th floor of the Tower Block. The well-equipped labs allow you the opportunity to research, design, prepare and carry out your own practical experiments and provide a realistic workplace environment that will enable you to gain practical lab skills and knowledge to work in whatever branch of the industry you choose or progress to university.

Our Sport study programmes are delivered at the college's dedicated sports facility - The Steve Prescott Centre. The impressive centre offers a large sports hall, gym, changing rooms, classrooms, a 3G pitch as well as several grass pitches. Here, our students develop their own abilities as coaches or instructors, analyse data and experience what it’s like to integrate theory into practice. Running alongside their studies, you will also be offered the opportunity to join different teams such as basketball, football and the Hull Kingston Rovers Development Academy.
