This full-time, one-year study programme offers learners a unique opportunity to gain a solid foundation in core engineering principles while exploring the exciting and fast-growing world of space and aerospace technologies. Designed for individuals with a curiosity for innovation, science, and problem-solving, the course covers essential topics such as mechanical and electrical principles, health and safety, materials science, and engineering design. Practical workshop experience is embedded throughout, allowing learners to develop valuable hands-on skills alongside their theoretical understanding. What sets this programme apart is its dedicated Space Pathway, which introduces learners to the engineering that powers space exploration. Learners will explore areas such as satellite systems, propulsion technology, orbital mechanics, and sustainability in space, offering insight into the cutting-edge challenges faced by the global space sector. Hull College is passionate about preparing learners for the future, and this programme reflects that commitment by equipping students with the technical skills, knowledge, and industry awareness needed to succeed in the modern engineering landscape. UCAS provides support for young people making post-18 choices, as well as mature learners, by providing information, advice, and guidance to inspire and facilitate educational progression to university, college, or a degree apprenticeship.

It is important to note that when you enrol on an Access to HE courseyou can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to help with the costs of a course at a college or training provider in England.

Loan eligibility does not depend on your income and there are no credit checks.

Check if you’re eligible before you apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

Your loan will be written off if you then sign up for a Higher Education course AND you have completed in full the Access to HE course.
