Lots can happen during your time at college and that’s why our Student Services team is always on hand to advise and support you.

In addition to the wide range of internal services offered by the college, we also welcome a number of external services into college that can support you with a variety of topics. These include…

Mondays (12pm - 2:30pm): Hull College Nursing Service
From Monday 23rd January, we are pleased to piloting a new exciting drop-in service provided by Anita from the NHS.

Support will be based around access to universal NHS services, which include…

• Sleep
• Diet
• Weight
• Anxiety
• Mental Health
• Stress
• Relationships
• Substance Misuse
• Drugs/Vaping

Tuesdays (11am - 3pm): Yorkshire Mesmac
Mel from Yorkshire Mesmac runs a sexual health drop-in, offering advice and guidance on topics such as sexual health information, healthy relationships, consent, condoms and STI and pregnancy testing.

Thursdays (8:30am - 4pm): Hull Domestic Abuse Partnership
Leanne from Hull DAP is available to provide support, advice and information if you, a family member, friend or neighbour are affected by domestic abuse and coercive and controlling behaviour.

Domestic Violence can include: physical assault, mental and verbal abuse, rape, threats, sexual abuse, harassment, intimidation, deprivation, systematic criticism and humiliation. Domestic abuse it not always physical!

Fridays (2pm - 4pm): Thrive (Emotional Resilience Coaching for Young People Aged 16-19)
From Friday 20th January, Emotional Resilience Coaches Matt and Susan (employed by Hull City Council) who will be on hand to offer short term interventions to help young people aged 16-19 whose emotional wellbeing is a barrier to achieving a positive transition to adulthood. Thrive services can also be accessed outside these drop-in times.

Our Student Services Hub (located in room L01) is the place for advice, information and any support you need. If you need any support or guidance yourself, please do not hesitate to visit the Student Services Hub, reception or speak to your tutor. Even if you do not need support yourself, others may. Please always remember to ask twice if someone is ok!
