Discovery: Becoming Your Best Self
Our Discovery curriculum is a unique and purposeful part of every Year 10 student’s journey.
Discovery is your space to grow – not just in the classroom, but as a person ready for the world.
It’s designed to help you build confidence, develop character, and make real academic progress, all while preparing for your next steps in life.
When you join us, you’ll become part of a Discovery Team – a community built on respect, kindness, and support.
You’ll work closely with others, develop socially and emotionally, and learn how to tackle challenges with independence and pride.
Learn with Purpose
In Discovery, you’ll make connections between subjects in ways that make learning deeper and more meaningful. You’ll explore big ideas through carefully planned Discovery briefs, each with a driving question that guides your work. Along the way, you’ll:
- Boost your media literacy skills
- Create beautiful, high-quality work
- Make better than expected academic progress
- Grow your character, behaviours and attitudes
You’ll build a portfolio of your best work, showing everything you’ve learned and how you’ve developed – not just what you know, but who you are becoming.
Personal Support
You won’t be doing this alone. Every learner is paired with a Discovery Leader – a dedicated adult who’s there to guide and support you. Your Discovery Leader will:
- Help you stay on track with your learning and progress
- Support you to build your personal learning portfolio
