safeguarding at hull college

Above all, we believe every young person deserves to learn and thrive in a safe space. By working together with students, families, and external partners, we are committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for all.

Our Safeguarding Team is here to ensure every student feels safe, supported and listened to. We work proactively to identify concerns early, respond quickly and provide confidential guidance whenever it’s needed.

Our approach is preventative and educational – promoting positive behaviours, raising awareness of key safeguarding issues and offering practical support to help students stay safe both in and outside of college.

If for any reason, you feel unsafe due to something happening to you at college, outside of college, or if you are worried about someone else who is unsafe, please speak to a member of staff, or directly to a member of the College’s Safeguarding Team.

We actively promote the welfare, safety and wellbeing of all young people and vulnerable adults across our community. Creating a secure, respectful and supportive environment is at the heart of our culture, and we expect every student, member of staff and visitor to share this commitment.

Getting in touch early helps us respond effectively and take the right action to support you. You can speak in person, complete our form or get in touch via email using the details below. Please leave your contact details so we can respond.
