Course Requirements

Full-time learners are expected to complete a minimum of 30 hours of work experience, which can take place online, internally, or externally. Learners on advanced courses, such as T Levels, may take part in extended industry placements of 300+ hours.

Finding a Placement

Our dedicated Work Experience Team will help match you with local employers. You can also arrange your own placement – just let us know so we can complete necessary safeguarding checks beforehand.

Industry Placement

Formal, employer-based placement related directly to your course.

Industry Activity

Shorter engagements like masterclasses or simulated workplace tasks that still develop your employability.

Governance & Support Industry Placement

All placements are subject to pre-placement checks to ensure health & safety and safeguarding requirements are met. Our formal policy sets out responsibilities, placement types, and quality assurance procedures to keep your experience safe and productive.
