A Unique Campus Full of Character Our campus is full of personality, creativity, and Hull pride. From the iconic paint bucket splashed across our arts building to the vibrant mural by local artist Skeg, there’s something exciting around every corner. You’ll spot our cream KCOM phone boxes – a nod to the city’s heritage – and even a unicorn waiting for you inside the ThinkTank. It’s a campus that feels alive, inspiring, and uniquely ours.
Bilocca
Bilocca gives Catering & Hospitality students the opportunity to learn in a real restaurant environment that’s open to the public. It’s a space to build confidence, develop service skills, and experience the pace of a professional dining setting.
The commercial kitchens mirror real hospitality workplaces, allowing students to train using professional equipment and techniques. From food preparation to presentation, the space supports hands-on learning every day.
Students also gain experience through event and commercial catering, working on functions across the college and beyond. It’s a chance to develop teamwork, organisation, and practical skills that prepare them for future careers in the industry.
Elevate
Located in the Chesters Building, Elevate is a flexible learning environment where students can study, research, collaborate, or recharge. From the DigiDen’s 75 PCs to the LitLounge’s relaxed reading space, every area is designed to support different learning styles in a modern, welcoming setting.
Students can work together in CollabLab using loan laptops and group spaces, develop ideas in the Teamwork Zones, or explore creativity through the Minecraft Zone and Movie Zone. Whether it’s digital projects, multimedia learning, or group assignments, Elevate offers technology-rich spaces that encourage innovation and teamwork.
For focused work or downtime, Elevate includes the Hushed Hideaway overlooking the Japanese garden, the peaceful Zen Zone, and individual Study Nooks. With access to the ThinkTank lecture theatre, meeting pods, and additional study areas, students have everything they need to balance productivity, wellbeing, and academic success.
Cannon Street Campus
At the specialist Cannon Street campus, Motor Vehicle students train in professional-grade garages and body shop environments designed to mirror the real industry, with modern equipment and specialist tools.
The Welding and Fabrication workshops offer a dedicated space for developing practical metalwork skills. Using industry-standard equipment for cutting, shaping, fitting, and assembly.
Cannon Street is built around practical, hands-on learning, giving you the chance to develop your skills in realistic workshop settings every day.

Step inside one of the coolest spaces on campus. Our Esports Training Arenas are kitted out with high-powered PCs, racing simulators, huge monitors, and pro-level equipment – everything you need to sharpen your skills and compete like the champions you are. It’s also home to the Hullraisers, our official Esports team, who train, compete, and celebrate together here.
Our 200-seat HU1 Riverside Theatre gives Performing Arts, Dance, and Music students the chance to shine. With professional lighting, sound, and backstage facilities, it’s a fully immersive, industry-standard space where students can rehearse, perform, and create unforgettable productions.

Our commercial salon, Salon QG, is fully equipped with professional-standard hairdressing and barbering stations, giving students the perfect space to practise styling, colouring, cutting, and client consultation – all while working with real clients.
Our Clinical Skills Rooms are designed to bring healthcare training to life. With realistic mannequins and simulated environments, students can safely practise everything from bed bathing and mobility support to using specialist equipment. It’s hands-on, immersive, and an incredible foundation for future careers in health and care.
Brickwork, Plumbing, Plastering, Painting & Decorating, Carpentry & Joinery – our construction workshops have everything you need to learn hands-on skills in safe, realistic environments. With industry-standard tools and expert guidance, you’ll build confidence and competence from day one.
Our industry-level engineering and electrical facilities give you the chance to work on real equipment and tackle real challenges. Whether you’re wiring circuits, assembling components, or developing problem-solving skills, you’ll learn in spaces that genuinely reflect the workplace.
Our TV Studio features professional cameras, an autocue, wireless mics, a full lighting rig, and a large green-screen wall, with live streaming capabilities. Alongside this, the Recording and Podcast Studios provide sound treated spaces and professional equipment for music production, audio recording, and digital content creation.
With sprung floors, wall-to-wall mirrors, ballet bars, and a powerful sound system, our dance studios are ready for anything – from expressive contemporary pieces to full-out commercial routines. It’s the perfect space to refine your technique, build confidence, and train like a professional.
