Assessment on the Skills for Living Programme is continuous and practical, focusing on your progress and achievements across the wider curriculum.
• You will work towards a Level 1 Skills for Living qualification, demonstrating your knowledge and understanding through a portfolio of evidence.
• Your evidence may include practical work, photographs, reflective journals, tutor observations, and discussions.
• There are no formal written exams; assessment focuses on your real skills and progress over time.
• You will receive regular, personalised feedback and targets through your Individual Learning Plan (ILP), supporting steady and meaningful development.
Progression & Next Steps
You will receive a high level of support throughout the programme, with experienced tutors, support assistants, and access to Hull College’s dedicated SEND services. Your learning is personalised and designed to help you reach your full potential in a safe and inclusive environment.
When you complete the programme, you can progress to:
