Course Overview
This apprenticeship prepares you to become an Advanced Site Carpenter, working on domestic and commercial construction projects across new build and refurbishment sectors.
You’ll develop higher-level skills to manufacture and install complex and bespoke building components, including irregular and advanced roof structures. Advanced Site Carpenters play a key role in delivering high-quality, detailed finishes while meeting modern construction, sustainability and heritage requirements.
You’ll work safely and precisely, following detailed specifications and collaborating with other trades and site professionals. By the end of the programme, you’ll be confident handling complex carpentry tasks to professional industry standards.

Course Breakdown
Course Structure
You will spend one day per week at Hull College, developing advanced technical knowledge and practical carpentry skills in specialist workshops.
The remaining four days per week will be spent with your employer, gaining experience on live construction sites and completing complex carpentry tasks.
Progression & Next Steps
On completion, you can progress into continued employment with your current employer or further opportunities within the construction industry as an Advanced Site Carpenter.
