Empower Local Talent

Work and industry placements give young people a real insight into the world of work while offering businesses the chance to engage with motivated future talent.

Placements can be short (30 hours) or extended (up to 315 hours), with flexible options designed to fit your organisation. They’re a great way to support skills development, strengthen your workforce, and identify potential future employees.

Why Your Business Should Get Involved

Access to Future Talent: Work experience gives you early engagement with motivated students, helping build a pipeline of potential apprentices, graduates, and staff.

Fresh Perspectives: Hosting students brings new ideas and modern thinking into your organisation; benefiting innovation and productivity.

Enhance Employer Brand & Community Standing: Engagement with education boosts your public image and fulfils CSR objectives – supporting local economic growth and improving community relations.

Staff Development: Supervising students provides a platform for your team to develop leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.

What Work Experience Looks Like

Standard Work Experience: Usually one day per week for a set number of weeks, equating to 30 or 60 hours (depending on level of qualification being studied).

Industry Placements: Longer, course-related placements, ideal for vocational and technical qualifications such as T Levels.

Short-Term Industry Activities: Masterclasses, site visits, or mini-projects – perfect for flexible or introductory engagements.

Virtual Placements: Especially useful for organisations facing time or resource constraints; or during remote-working situations.
