Could you benefit from fully-funded Skills Support for the Unemployed training?
What is Skills Support for the Unemployed?
Through funding from the European Social Fund, the Education Skills Funding Agency and the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership, the Skills Support for the Unemployed (SSU) programme offers diverse, fully-funded training to support unemployed individuals to move into work and training opportunities.
The programme is aimed at unemployed people across the Humber region looking to up-skill and move into work. Training is matched to participant job goals. HCUK Training work with a wide variety of businesses within the LEP key sectors (Renewable technologies/Green energy, Ports and logistics, Creative and Digital, Chemicals, Engineering and Manufacturing, Food, Visitor economy, Health & Social Care and Construction) to secure vacancies and work experience opportunities as well as providing support into Apprenticeships, Traineeships and further education.
We can offer fully-funded employer responsive workplace training and support delivered across the Humber region, aimed at enhancing participant’s skills and career prospects as well as reducing the risk of long-term unemployment. Employment Advisers work with participants to support their job goals and source job opportunities, address barriers, provide employability support and access to Apprenticeships, Traineeships and further education.
Training can take place through online learning, classroom and work placement learning.
All training where possible will be delivered at a readily accessible nearby location. Support is available to participants with travel costs and costs to take up work placements. Where appropriate we will work with specialist training providers to deliver training in key sectors, including:
|Ports and Logistics||Construction|
|Health and Social Care||Creative and Digital|
