1st June 2021

It’s National Volunteers’ Week 2021!

Volunteers’ Week is a nationwide awareness campaign that takes place at the beginning of June (1st - 7th) every year in the UK and is a celebration of the contribution volunteers make to society.

Each day of Volunteers’ Week 2021 will focus on a different theme of volunteering to ensure we recognise the impact that different types of volunteering have played in communities across the UK in the last 12 months. Each day is a chance to take the time to say thank you to volunteers across the UK. Full details on the themes are available here.

This 37th annual Volunteers’ Week is taking place during the #MonthofCommunity. Running throughout June, #MonthOfCommunity brings together organisations with a range of events in order to encourage us all to think about and join in with activities happening in our local communities.

We have lots of information on volunteering opportunities in the careers area, located in Chesters Reception, and the Learner Hub. For further information and advice, please contact our Internal Careers Advisor, Lorna Beaumont, on 01482 598838 or email CareersAdvice@hull-college.ac.uk.
