This course is designed to enable students to expand their technical knowledge and develop their understanding of technical language used in photography. Students will explore compositional techniques and use shutter speed and aperture creatively to capture images. Students will gain some experience of a professional studio and learn how to use lighting. There will also be an introduction to Adobe Photoshop which is regarded as the principal image manipulation software for photography.
Students will be required to have completed the Introduction to Digital Photography or have previous experience in digital photography.
It is essential that students have their own Digital Camera with manual controls. These can be identified by letters A, TV, S, P and M and can usually be found on the dial of the camera.
