Overview
Working as a carpenter or joiner is a well paid and creative profession. The Level 1 Carpentry and Joinery Study Programme introduces you to the woodworking trade before you start work onsite, allowing you to explore the comprehensive range of skills that you’ll be using, including basic theory and practical skills, learning about hand tools, power tools, timber technology, different joints, as well as health and safety. As part of the programme, you will also discover different skills that you will need to know to work onsite, such as team working and communication alongside improvements to your Maths and English – essential for any role.
From this course, you can move into a Level 2 Programme or begin an Apprenticeship in Construction trades to start working in the construction industry.
