Overview: The HNC in General Engineering is designed to help you gain academic and vocational skills. You will learn a wide range of practical in-demand vocational skills in engineering such as analytical methods and report writing, and you will develop your knowledge of subject areas such as fluid power systems, use of materials in engineering, and the principles and use of thermodynamics.

Entry Requirements: 64 UCAS Points, and the equivalent of a C in a L3 maths programme.

Fees: Ł5000 for the first year of tuition (80 credits), then Ł2500 for the last semester of study (40 credits of study).

Units: Unit 1: Engineering Design (Core) Unit 2: Engineering Maths (Core) Unit 3: Engineering Science (Core) Unit 4: Managing a Professional Engineering Project (Core, Pearson Set) Unit 8: Mechanical Principles Unit 9: Materials Properties and Testing Unit 19: Electrical and Electronic Principles Unit 73: Materials Engineering with Polymers

64 UCAS points, IELTS Score: 6.5 Although we use UCAS points as a guide for students coming straight from school or college, for us, what you've achieved in the past isn't nearly as important as what we believe you can achieve in the future and we excel at providing the support that helps students succeed, regardless of their previous academic background
In addition: Applicants would need 64 UCAS points and the equivalent of a Grade C in a L3 Maths programme
