The gym instructing course is delivered with face-to-face training in order to give you the confidence and practical experience of communicating, motivating, and interacting with customers. Your course is delivered in our dedicated gym environment at the Steve Prescott Centre and this will give you the right experience and nationally recognised qualification you need to get started in your career and be employed in the sector.
You will learn a wide range of topics such as anatomy and physiology, how to deliver basic health assessment techniques such as blood pressure and BMI tests and gain the tools to develop and plan gym programmes to a wide range of customers.
The study programme will also offer additional specialisms in order for you to progress in your career, such as kettle bells and circuit training. As part of the study programme you will complete your maths and English qualifications if you have not yet gained a Grade 4.
