The L3 qualification is for people who work or want to work as a specialist painter and decorator in the construction sector. The course covers a vast array of specialist subjects within Painting & Decorating; as well as improving Paper hanging and Spraying skills. The course duration is 35 weeks, 16 hours per week and allows learners to develop and practice skills learnt on L2 or within the construction industry. It covers the following skills: Erecting and dismantling access equipment and working platforms. Applying specialist papers to walls and ceilings. Producing specialist finishes for painted decorative work. Producing specialist architectural finishes for decorative work. Applying water-borne paint systems using airless spray. Applying water-borne paint systems using HVLP. As well as these practical elements you will learn how to cost and manage a building project.
