Overview
The FD Graphic
Design and Illustration course aim is to produce graduates who fully understand
the purposes, processes and end products of graphic design and Illustration
practice.
Visual
communication is at the heart of the course and a wide range of communication
media available to the modern practitioner is explored. Graphic design,
Illustration, branding, drawing, print making, 3D model-making, digital
communications / motion graphics, animation, web and social media, all can
become part of the students’ visual communication tool
kit.

completion of this foundation degree students may wish to progress to the BDes
(Hons) Graphic Design (Top-up) or pursue a career in any of the following areas:
freelance illustrator, graphic designer, storyboard artist, animator, commercial
artworker, concept artist, marketing and advertising, Print maker and digital
communications / motion graphics.
