Overview
An exciting
degree designed to develop and sculpt the next generation of adaptable dance
artists, choreographers and teachers in Hull. The programme has a strong
emphasis on developing technique to create successful and technical dance
practitioners in a vast range of dance styles.
The programme
will cover styles such as Jazz, Contemporary, Commercial, Ballet and Tap as well
as modules designed to give students the skills to explore their own style,
choreography and performance.
Strong links with Hull Dance, Freedom Festival, residencies and workshops from professional practitioners and teaching staff with years of professional dance experience will enable students to become versatile, technical and professional practitioners for their future in the dance industry.

Upon completion of this
foundation degree, students may wish to progress to the BA Hons Dance Top-Up
course subject to validation or pursue a career in any of the following areas:
dancer in shows (West End/ UK Tours), dancer for music videos, dancer for TV
shows and TV productions, production cast on cruise ships, Production cast for
hotels, freelance dancer, choreographer, performer for live events, dance
teacher for communities
