Overview
This exciting
and innovative course is designed for students with a thirst to understand why
crime is committed from a psychological perspective. The psychology modules will
focus your attention on the biological, the psychological and the social
explanations for crime and deviance while drawing upon traditional and new
theories. Each module builds on the last to guide you to your chosen topic for
the dissertation module in the BA (Hons) Criminology with Psychology. We have
volunteering at the heart of the degree with student volunteering in various
agencies and organisations including Circles - which provides support and
accountability to high-risk sex offenders to help reduce re-offending and
prevent any further victims. We aim to build your confidence using a variety of
assessment methods using traditional essays and reports but also using
technology to challenge your growth.
