Overview
The BA (Hons)
Performance (Pathway Top-up) programme offers students the opportunity to
further delve into their own practice as performers, choreographers, directors
and creators.
There are two
pathways on this programme, one is Musical Theatre and there is another pathway
dedicated to Dance. At the audition, students pathway will be identified.
Students will be challenged at all formative points of assessment to further
develop their own identity as performers in order to find their place in
industry and begin to carve out their progression routes beyond graduation.
Practice as
research forms a core thread in creative modules that explore individual areas
of development. Students are permitted the freedom to develop through personal
and critical reflection, evaluating their own training needs in respect to
industry requirements.
This
facilitates a personalised learning ethos, with students specialising through
direct supervisions and teaching support.
Professional
outreach is encouraged, offering students opportunities to develop working
relationships, and engage with wider industries and professional communities.
