Overview
The BA (Hons)
in Fashion Design (Top-Up) programme is aimed at students wanting to develop
their studies in line with their own design philosophy and career expectations.
Through extensive creative research, students will establish their own design
practice and in response produce two dimensional, three dimensional and digital
fashion and textiles outcomes alongside related reflective and critical writing.
Students will evolve through practice, personal design direction, context,
research methods and processes and will develop and produce individual fashion
outcomes with the opportunity for interdisciplinary practice. This course allows
for students to develop a professional understanding of the workplace and to
embark upon a personal journey of industry related project briefs and
competitions.

Progression
Upon
completion of this BA (Hons) degree, students may wish to progress to the MA in
Creative Practice or pursue a career in any of the following areas:
fashion/accessories design, pattern cutting, manufacturing and sample machinist,
fashion buying and merchandising, fashion marketing and promotion, trend
prediction, stylist and journalist.
