Carla Dyson // Make-Up Artist

After studying Beauty Therapy at Hull College, Carla has gone on to become an international freelance make-up artist. Currently living in Australia, Carla has worked throughout the fashion industry and featured in a variety of editorials.

Darren Storrer // Award-Winning Tutor

From apprentice to award-winning tutor, Darren Storrer has gone from attending Hull College to becoming a Curriculum Leader here.

Jodie Smith // Illustrator

After completing the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Textiles at Hull College, Jodie went on to Leeds College of Art and is already making a splash with her designs exhibiting in Paris, Brussels and New York.

WorldSkills showcases the skill and talent of students and apprentices across the country the world. Here are our WorldSkills winners!

Steve Lodge // Award-Winning Chef

Steven Lodge began at Hull College for one day a week in Year 10; he now works at one of the top restaurants in the area.

Louise Clayton // Accountant

With a background in business studies and some brief knowledge on finances, Louise wanted to gain more formal training to match her career goals. Louise chose to study the AAT course at Hull College and is now working at one of the city's top accountancy.

Tom Arran // Photographer

After studying photography at Hull College, Tom Arran has gone to become a successful creative commercial and lifestyle photographer based in Hull. His career to-date has seen him work across all of the UK and internationally in places such as South Africa, New York and Italy.

Paul Leonard // Michelin Star Chef

With a love for food, Paul came to Hull College to study Food Preparation as well as part time courses in pastry to develop his skills. Now, he is a Michelin star chef running his own kitchen in Scotland.
