With an apprenticeship, you get to study for a nationally recognised qualification while earning a salary in a real job.

The first step is to decide which subject area you are interested in. We offer apprenticeship training in a range of subject areas which are listed below. Students are required to have an apprentice role with a business to undertake an apprenticeship. Click here to view our current vacancies.

Apprenticeship Wage

Salary

When you complete an apprenticeship, you will be employed with and paid by the company you work with. Below are the minimum payment amounts that apprentices must receive (published 2021/22 rates; subject to change).

For apprentices aged 19 and over, in the 1st year of the apprenticeship your minimum rate may be lower than the National Minimum Wage. Once you are past the end of the 1st year, you will be paid at least the National Minimum Wage for your age category.

19-20 after completion of 1st year of apprenticeship
£6.56 per hour (2021/22 rate) 
21-24 after completion of 1st year of apprenticeship
£8.36 per hour (2021/22 rate) 
25 and over after completion of 1st year of apprenticeship
£8.92 per hour (2021/22 rate) 
Annual Leave

You will get at least 20 days paid holiday per year, plus bank holidays.

We currently have vacancies with many local employers who are looking for an apprentice. Click the link below to search for one that could suit you.

  • Complete a quick application form so we know what your skills and experience are.
  • One of our recruiters will contact you to let you what the next step will be and provide detailed information, advice and guidance.
  • If shortlisted, you may be invited to an interview with an employer.
  • If successful, you will be enrolled onto the apprenticeship course and start work with the employer.
  • Many of our apprentices are offered permanent roles with their employer once the apprenticeship comes to an end.

If you are currently in your final year at school and are interested in becoming an apprentice next year, we can support you over the next few months so that when you leave school you have the best chance of securing employment through an apprenticeship.
