Joinery students gain valuable work experience as part of BBC project.

Staff and students from the School of Construction and Green Energy Skills returned to the home of Jason Liverside to fit and complete work on wardrobes for the family.

The construction team had taken part in the episode of BBC programme DIY SOS filmed in 2015, where they worked to completely renovate the home of a terminally ill man, Jason Liverside and his family.

Wardrobes were made by Level 3 Bench Joinery students Stephen and Robert Linford who then fitted them at the family’s home on Friday 10th February. The project, asked for by Jason's wife, provided the students with excellent work experience - offering them a chance to build their customer service skills as well as working to customer specifications.
