Degree student is lead designer of digital commission, Bowhead at the Maritime Museum.

Louise Dempsey, a final year BA (Hons) Games Design student at Hull School of Art and Design, was given the rare opportunity as lead designer of a digital commission by the Maritime Museum in April last year.

Created in collaboration with University of Hull music students, Louise created the whale family as part of a brief from the museum to highlight Hull's whaling heritage and offer an insight into the species at the centre of the once bustling industry.

When asked about her future, Louise said; "Right now, the big priority is my final major project, which is a horror game set in a decaying Georgian house. My degree show is looming and I’ll be showcasing all of my work from the past year, including Bowhead. Thinking ahead, I’m keen to collaborate on more projects, whether that is in games design or architectural visualization, as I love creating worlds and spaces.

"This industry is so exciting. Everything is constantly evolving and every day is different."

You can visit Bowhead at the Maritime Museum until 19 March.
