Hull College is offering Full Scholarships for students studying a Degree programme in one of the main LEP priority areas.

The scholarships will be available to individuals wishing to undertake a degree level course in Health and Social Care, and includes a full fee waiver for the duration of the course. Full-time degree level tuition fees are currently set at £7,500 per year.

Up to six scholarships will be available and a minimum of one award at the Hull, Goole and Harrogate campus. Each scholarship will be awarded on merit and aims to support applicants from a disadvantaged background for September 2017 entry.

Michelle Swithenbank, CEO of Hull College Group said, “We understand that many students can find finances to be the biggest barrier when it comes to studying a degree course.”

“The Group aims to keep study fees at a competitive rate to support widening participation but many students are still worried about cost.”

“Working closely with the LEP, we understand that there is a growing skills gap in the health and care sector. It is vital that students who are interested in progressing their career in healthcare are encouraged to pursue it.”

Applicants wishing to study Health and Social Care in Hull and Harrogate, and Young Children’s Development and Learning in Goole are now also able to apply for one of the six scholarships available.

Applications are open for September 2017 entry and the deadline to apply for the scholarship is 25 September. Details on how to apply can be found on each of the College websites.
