A recent government report has rated HCUK Training within the top ranks of General Further Education Apprenticeship providers in the UK.
The National Achievement Rates Table provides a comprehensive assessment of General Further Education providers based on success rates, with Hull College Group’s apprenticeship provider HCUK Training scoring 3rd in the list of institutions who register more than 1000 learners.
In addition, HCUK Training delivery also ranked as the 5th largest general Further Education provider in the UK, with a total of 2610 leavers in 2015/16.
Success rates are established on the completion of the Apprenticeship programme, and HCUK Training has seen a consistent improvement over the past three years, resulting in a success rate of 76.7% in 2015/16, and it is this figure which has now earned them 3rd place in the table of General Further Education with more than 1000 learners.
HCUK Training, part of the Hull College Group, provides apprenticeships in a wide range of sectors including Accountancy, Customer Service, Hospitality & Catering and Health & Social Care, right through to Engineering, Motor Vehicle and Construction to highlight just a few.
Learners, such as Josh Hunter, who completed the apprenticeship programme with HCUK Training, progressed on to employment as well as achieving prestigious accolades. Josh began his journey as a student at Hull College before progressing to an apprenticeship in Brickwork with local construction company Houltons Ltd. It was during his time as an apprentice Josh entered the WorldSkills competition and has successfully qualified through each round to represent the UK at the WorldSkills final in 2017.
Dan Howard, Managing Director for HCUK Training said, “HCUK Training at Hull College, Goole College and Harrogate College delivers high quality work based learning, technical and vocational training, employability and bespoke skills solutions. We also have a very successful network of delivery partners nationally. The past few years have been incredibly successful for us and by making use of our improved performance management processes as well as the support staff provide to our learners, we are proud to be able to reveal yet another impressive set of success rates.”
“This success has only been achieved thanks to the high quality of training provided by our tutors and delivery partners and the employers we are fortunate to work with, and to be placed as 3rd in the UK for Apprenticeship General Further Education providers is something we are all extremely proud of.”
“We plan to continue this growth over the next 3 years with the full integration of online programme management systems for learners and employers, and the delivery of new apprenticeship standards designed by employers.”
