Application

At Hull College Group, we aim to make the application process for International students as straight forward as possible. Please follow the relevant process below, depending on whether you wish to apply for an English language course or an academic course.

English as a Foreign Language (EFL) applications:

  1. Please complete our EFL application form.
  2. Once we have received your application, we will arrange for one of our EFL tutors to assess your current level of English, as this will help us ensure you are placed in a class with students of a similar ability.
  3. Based on our tutors recommendation, we will issue a conditional offer to study at Hull College Group. Once you have met the conditions, which will include a deposit payment of £750, we will issue an unconditional offer letter. The deposit is refundable (less an administrative charge of £75) at a later stage of the process if you fail to get a visa. If your visa application is successful, this amount will be deducted from your tuition payment.

Further and Higher Education applications:

  1. Please complete our International application form. Before you submit your application it is strongly recommended that you read the attached guidance on how to make a successful application.
  2. All International students must demonstrate their English Language proficiency by providing Hull College Group with evidence of a Secure English Language Test – this may include IELTS, TOEFL or PTE Academic English language qualifications. The level of English required depends on the course you are applying for – please see the International Prospectus for the specific entry requirements for each course.
  3. If you meet the College’s entry requirements, we will pass your application on to the relevant department. It is likely a tutor will wish to interview you. The interview may be conducted over the telephone, through skype or in person (if you are currently in the UK)
  4. If your application is successful, we will issue a conditional offer to study at Hull College Group. Once you have met the conditions, which will include a deposit payment of £750, we will issue the unconditional offer letter. The deposit is refundable (less an administrative charge of £75) if you fail to get a visa. If your visa application is successful, this amount will be deducted from your tuition payment.
